About the Program
The GED program is designed to enhance the content knowledge needed for passing the TASC test (previously known as the GED test). Students attend either the AM Schedule (7:55 am – 10:20 am) or the PM Schedule (11:20 am – 1:55 pm). The curriculum is geared toward the TASC Test, which covers the following contents: English, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students are provided the opportunity to order breakfast (AM students) or lunch (PM students) upon arrival.

Weekly grades per subject (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) are as follows:
Work Output - 75% of weekly grade
Course Content - 25% of weekly grade
The daily grading scale for Work Output is as follows:
0 points - Absent
5 points - Present but consistently not working (constant redirection)
10 points - Present and occasionally working (little redirection)
15 points - Present and consistently working (no redirection)
Policy
Course Curriculum is designed to be self-directed. Students are expected to master specific skills for each content area. Progress will be tracked using a checklist for each subject. Through a student/teacher conference, an individualized plan for task readiness will be developed. Students are expected to abide by all school rules and regulations.
